Damon’s eyes narrowed a little when she mentioned that before he pulled back, “I think you’re going to be okay. I don’t think you’ll be bleeding to death anytime soon anyway.”
“Yeah, I’m glad she is okay. I know hers put her in the hospital. Did you get the vampire who did it?”she asked. Veronica didn’t want to push his buttons, she was mostly curious. Damon was a good friend, even more now that he had saved her, at least in her opinion.
“Considering it was her ex boyfriend I don’t think killing him would make her the happiest person in the world,” Damon said with a sigh, “So no. From what Stefan told me Chuck’s trying to control it.”

“Saving damsels in distress is usually my brother’s job,” Damon replied with a grin. “I was headed home to my girlfriend who is probably wondering where the hell I am right now to be honest. I’m sure she’ll understand when I tell her I was busy saving your ass from being chomped on.”
Veronica smiled as he said saving damsels was his brother’s job. “Well you need to tell him he is slacking off big time.”she nodded. “Blair? I met her recently.”she paused, “I’m sure she’ll understand. Especially with her recently being a vampire chew toy as well.”

“You don’t need to thank me,” Damon said raising his gaze to meet with hers before focusing on her wound again. “I guess being eaten by a vampire isn’t that great. I wouldn’t really know considering I’m the one usually doing the eating.”
Veronica was going to protest, but she figured that it wouldn’t be much of an argument. She laughed a little as he said he was the one who was normally doing the eating, “Yeah well I’m sure I’m going to have nightmares. It is not fun being attacked.”she said and huffed. “So you were headed home? Not planning on saving any other damsels in distress.”she said putting a dramatic tone on the last few words.

“Doesn’t sound like a very good protective device then,” Damon replied as he opened the kit so he could clean her wound. “Pretty sure you would have been vamp food if I didn’t show up.”
“Yeah, I’m going to have to speak with Abigail about it.”she said tilting her head to the side so he could clean up her wound. “Thanks, for you know, saving my life.”she said and smiled. “That is not the way I want to go.”she said and nodded. Veronica would wrinkle her nose when he started to clean the wound. She had received more than her fair share of injuries over the years, this was probably a moderate wound in comparison to the rest of them.
“You don’t need to thank me,” Damon said raising his gaze to meet with hers before focusing on her wound again. “I guess being eaten by a vampire isn’t that great. I wouldn’t really know considering I’m the one usually doing the eating.”

“Just home,” Damon replied with a shrug before he started walking with her in the direction of her car. “I’m assuming your special amulet thing didn’t really help you too much this time.”
Veronica walked with him to her car, she picked up her keys, taser, and purse which had all fallen onto the pavement. “My amulet, yeah I figured out what it does, but sometimes it doesn’t work. I have to concentrate to get it to work at all. I haven’t completely got it under control.”she explained. She opened the driver’s door and leaned over across the console to the glove compartment to pull out the first aid. She set her purse and stuff on the seat and closed the door. Veronica handed him the little medical kit and sighed pulling back her straight blond hair into a ponytail so it wouldn’t be in his way.

same. im usually never up THIS late anymore though but I’m never in bed early either. Oh well.
